Paper trading
Paper trading is simulated trading. ReplayBureau’s live paper trading lets you place simulated trades against live market prices without using real money.
What live paper trading includes
- Simulated paper accounts that are separate from your historical replay sessions.
- Trades are filled against live prices: buys at the ask and sells at the bid.
- Stop loss and take profit on positions.
- Partial profits and breakeven (Essential and Plus).
- Available on every plan, including the free Basic plan.
What “live” means
“Live” refers to the market prices used. It does not mean real-money execution. All activity in live paper trading is simulated, and ReplayBureau does not execute real-money trades.
Backtesting versus live paper trading
| Backtesting (replay) | Live paper trading | |
|---|---|---|
| Market data | Historical candles, replayed | Live prices |
