Choose one instrument and one practice objective
Select ES or NQ, choose a historical date and decide what the session will test. You might inspect whether you follow a predefined entry condition or whether you consistently exit when that condition is invalidated. These are process exercises, not trade recommendations.
Keep the instrument and timeframe consistent during a comparison. ES and NQ are distinct markets; combining outcomes without noting the market can hide differences in your decisions.
Replay a session without seeing its ending
Advance one candle at a time or use the playback controls. Place simulated market or pending orders and manage stop loss and take profit. Pause when a decision needs a journal note.
Essential and Plus include navigation to a chosen date. Plus adds navigation to the next New York, London or Asia open. These tools are conveniences for practice; they do not guarantee a particular market pattern or outcome.
Review execution assumptions as well as results
Replay uses historical price data and simulated order execution. It is not an exchange matching engine, broker connection or order-flow replay. A simulated fill does not prove the same execution would have been available live.
Record the timeframe and simulation settings you changed. Use consistent assumptions across tests and keep hypothetical results separate from any actual brokerage record.
Which plan do I need for ES or NQ?
Both are included in Basic with one active session, up to one year of history and three journaled trades. Essential expands this to three sessions, up to six years and unlimited journaling. Plus provides unlimited sessions and history back to 2006 where data is available.
Full statistics, the equity curve and daily P&L calendar require Essential or Plus. Prop firm challenge mode requires Plus.
Can futures replay place a real order or provide funding?
No. Positions, balances and results are simulated, have no cash value and do not provide a funded account.
ReplayBureau is a simulation and analysis tool, not a broker. Simulated balances, profits and losses are not real money, and backtesting or paper-trading results do not guarantee future performance.
